My laptop doesn’t turn on?
The laptop doesn’t turn on, may be due to the following reasons
!!!

The
power socket , where u have connected the power cable ,pl check as there is a output
supply !!

Defective power cable

Defective power adapter

Defective Motherboard

The Laptop works,but there is a dull display ?
When the laptop, shows the dull display on the lcd panel ,this
may be due to the following reasons !!

The Lcd cable, loose connection or defective

May be the, combination of above said failures !!

Laptop shows distorted image on the Lcd , ?
When there is a distortion in the lcd panel, This may be due

What is the meaning of, motherboard shot ?

When the technical person says,
as and when, there is a shot in the motherboard ,the meaning is , in the motherboard
, either a single or multiple set of components should have lost its resistance
due to power fluctuation ,or wear and tear etc,

What is the meaning of, the controller failure ?
-
In the motherboard there are
several controllers are being functioning for stipulated tasks .. For example, the
Vga, North or south bridges, or i/o controller etc,. When it fails to respond at
times, either the machine may fail entirely or it may work partially or it may work
intermittently .

My laptop is working intermittently, will it sustain
in the same condition ?

It is very difficult to guess,
as how long the motherboard defective part or a section will last in the same condition,
Once it, looses it’s actual resistance, will further get reduced on the, subsequent
usages, It will not be in the, same stage or condition for a longer period. It will
go to the “0” state may be in few hours or may be in few months.

The technical person says , the Bga has to be reworked,
is there any risk involved ?
-
Only when, there is a problem in the controller section, the technical person would have suggested for the Bga rework. Under these situations, the user has to decide either to replace the entire motherboard or rework the defective part of the existing one.
In general, the board replacement is the only option. If the technical person says the rework is possible, pl go ahead for the rework process !! Even if the rework fails there is always a possibility of the motherboard replacement at a hand stretch .
As for as the rework is concerned, pl check the following
1. The capability of the Company !!
2. The rework charges on success !!
3. The rework charges on failure !!
When the rework fails, if the testing charges are reasonable , we can obviously try for the rework solution !!
At the same time, we need to understand one thing clearly, since the service company is going to use their components for the rework process. If the component fails, they may not be in a position to use the same component again,it is a loss for the service company .There is no risk for the User !!

My machine shows a ,distorted display !The technical
people says The Vga controller failure and it has to be reworked !!

As the technical person said,
if it is a vga controller failure, .this Vga controller is in a form of a Bga chip.Which
possibly Need to replaced to get the machine back in the working state !! or otherwise
we will have to replace the motherboard which is expensive than the rework !!

There was some improper image in the display , after
few days the machine failed entirely !! the technical person says , there is a controller
failure , what can I do ?

Whenever, there is a problem in the motherboard , when the specific chipset once it
Failed, it will never be in the same state, for a longer period. Once it is damaged ,In the subsequent usages ,the resistance value will detoriate further and will go to the “0” state sooner or later !!. “0” state is what we call it as no display or dead accordingly !!
For example, if this problem is related with the vga controller , at the beginning of a failure , specific to certain controllers, it may not fail abruptly, May be initially it would have shown a distorted image as an indication. On the subsequent usage it would have lost its whole capacity to display anything , that’s the reason there is no display in the machine at all.This may be reason, the technical person would have informed as a controller failure !!

Lcd broken , What can I do ?

As all we know, this Lcd is a glass particle and once it breaks ,we have no choice other than the replacement of it .The Lcd’s are Available in various sizes. The Lcd’s are Designed according to the model set by the manufacturer. Check for the right size and the
model Number , and get it replaced !!

There is a single line in the Lcd panel, what can I do
to rectify!!

Whenever, there is a line in the lcd, if it is really a bothering fact, the choice is to replace
the lcd panel only, at this point of time !! Though the lcd’s can be reworked and lines
Can be recitified, but these technologies are available with the manufacturers segement not in the service industry !!
Since , the manufacturer’s,doesn’t support the rework of lcd’s and they suggest only for the replacement as per their policies. We have, no other option other than the replacement !!

Key is missing, can I be able replace only one key ?

Certainly it is possible to replace a single key. To brief about the keyboard mechanism .
in the keyboard what ever you see on top , is all plastic keys. Internally the locks are different for each and every model and also designed in various shapes and sizes by the manufacturer !!, If u can able to get the exact lock and the key, and it can be replaced simply. If not ,we will have to replace the keyboard only !!

My Laptop drenched in the rain, can I power on the laptop
and check, immediately ?

Pl don’t do that, whenever the water or some form of liquid gets in to the laptop, first remove both the battery and the power adapter immediately and make it dry completely and ensure there is no damp on it,Only then it is suggested to power on the machine !!The best solution is to take it to the, right technician and tell them about the incident and sort for an assistance !!

Why my dvd rw drive fails to read the dvd media ?

The reason is , the lense part
of the drive, would have lost it’s capacity to read the specified media.This may
be due to wear and tear or accidental isssues!!The solution Is may the drive replacement
!!

To start with , clear all the
unwanted datas , if u still find the machine is slow and as long as the operating
system is fine with out any hassle, pl Upgrade the memory . this will certainly

The batteries are life prone products ,it designed to work only for a stipulated times of charge and discharges. Once after the stipulated period is over , we will have to replace the battery.To know more about it ,Every charge and a discharge we call it as a cycle !!
Approximately, the standard 4400 mah capacity battery , which works for 500 cycles after that, the solution is replace the battery !!
The less backup which u have specified , may be an indication of the The possible battery failure !! Pl check with the right technican for more assistance !!

The battery controller is the part of the motherboard.When the battery controller fails, the machine looses it’s capacity, to detect the battery In a proper manner .The symptoms are, either it may detect the battery intermittently or detect improperly or it doesn’t detect at all !!

Corrosion can happen, either
due to accidental spillage of liquid ,for example water, tea coffee poured etc,or
may be due to the Internal leakage of the parts inside the motherboard for example

produced the particular motherboard , reacts with the internal semi conductors and
produces corrosion !!

What is the meaning of keyboard getting shot ?

In the keyboard whatever we see on top , it is all plastic keys,it internally works in the basis of Conductive mechanism.
When we press a particular key, it simultaneously displays the specific character by touching the internal layer ,which is the conductive area ,placed under the keys .
When the layer worn out or damaged due to accidental or wear tear issues, then it malfunctions and work by itself. At times it Touches with an other layer automatically and type a character or characters.
That’s the reason without an human intervention , it looks the keys getting typed.
